John has 40 years of experience working as a service delivery social worker, a professional practice supervisor, and also in policy and senior management positions in the public sector.
He has lived and worked in all regions of Western Australia, and has a strong affiliation with country service delivery. The focus of his professional experience was mainly with families experiencing family violence, child protection issues and those experiencing a multitude of problems caused by poverty and lack of opportunities.
In more recent years, he worked as an executive Director in a large government department and understands the requirements for effective and responsible organisational governance.
John and his wife also have experience supporting an adult son with a disability, and with that, understand the importance of the relationship between families and NDIS service providers.
John joined the board of Essential Personnel in 2022.
